Optus email is a webmail service. It has its own internet connection. Otus provides facility to access the email even if user is out of the Optus network. Optus email can be easily configured with any email client application or android or ios based device. Here are the steps shown for how to connect optus email from Outlook.
- Open Outlook.
- Go to Tools and then click on Accounts.
- Again click on Add button and then click on Mail on the right side of the pane.
- Enter the display name.
- Now enter the user id for Optus email and click "next ".
- Set incoming server as POP3. Then the incoming mail server will be pop.mail.optusnet.com.au.
- Similarly for outgoing server, it will be smtp.mal.optusnet.com.au.
- Click "next ".
- Enter the password. Check the box below if user wants outlook to remember the password.
- Don't check the SPA login option.
- Click "Finish".
Optus email can now be accessed through Outlook. If user finds any problem then he can call at the optus email technical support number. The number is toll free and always available for customers to help.
